Holiday Lighting at the Galleria
Every year Houstonians cap off their Thanksgiving at the Uptown Holiday Lighting. This free event is perfect for the whole family and great for entertaining out-of-town guests.
When: Thursday, November 24
4 p.m. - Holiday Music and Concessions
5 p.m. - Merry Holiday Stage Show featuring local musical acts
7 p.m. - Santa lights the Boulevard and the Grand Fireworks Extravaganza
It also requires some planning. Get there early...park where you won't get towed.

The Galleria
Post Oak Central
Post Oak Plaza
Williams Tower
The event takes place along Post Oak Boulevard between Westheimer and San Felipe and starts at 4 pm. Uptown Holiday Lighting features festive music by local groups including the Houston Concert Band, Salvation Army Harbor Light Choir, holiday characters including clowns, larger than life Santa’s reindeer; a special appearance from Santa; lighting of more than a half million twinkling lighting on 80 trees and an incredible fireworks show.
